President of the Personal Data Protection Office met with the Church Data Protection Officer

Mirosław Wróblewski, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, met with Rev. Prof. Piotr Kroczek, PhD, the Church Data Protection Officer.

During the meeting, the continuation of the cooperation between the Personal Data Protection Office and the Church Data Protection Officer started under the agreement of 10 May 2019 on cooperation and mutual transfer of information was discussed. The need to carry out the tasks of both authorities as provided by law, respecting their independence and competences, was emphasised. The cooperation will be based on ensuring effective protection of individuals in relation to the processing of personal data by Church authorities, as well as successive building of public awareness in the area of personal data protection.
