Educational workshops at the Polish SA for children as part of the “Lessons on Finance” programme
On October 1, 2024, educational classes for primary school students from Wielkopolska Voivodeship were held at the headquarters of the Personal Data Protection Office, organised as part of the second edition of the "Lessons about Finance" program.
The event was organised as part of the ‘Lessons on Finance’ Programme at the invitation of the Ministry of Finance. The aim of the Programme is to support the implementation of financial education activities among primary school students.
The Personal Data Protection Office, as an institution involved in education, regularly supports such initiatives, sharing its expert knowledge in the field of personal data protection. As part of the "Lessons on Finance" program, the Office hosted students from a primary school in Wielkopolska Voivodeship, who participated in classes prepared especially for them.
During the meeting, students learnt how much value personal data represents. They had the opportunity to understand that they are not just information about us or other people, but are also our personal assets. The class allowed the children to understand the importance of taking care of their privacy and what rights they have to protect their personal data. The active participation of students in the workshop showed their great interest in the topics presented.
Data protection plays a key role in educating the younger generation, who need support in effectively protecting their personal data and privacy rights.
In October, there will be two more visits by students at the Personal Data Protection Office as part of the “Lessons about Finance” programme.
